Top picks at a glance

Ranked in order. Each row names what the pick is best for, with no score attached.

  • Order bands are the price to watch, not the headline price. iCart, Cartly, Kaching, and AOV.ai all tie price to monthly orders or to your Shopify plan, so a strong month can move your app fee even when nothing else changes.
  • Free plans differ a lot. Amp Slide Cart says its free plan is free forever with unlimited orders (Source: Amp Slide Cart pricing docs), while Cartly free stops at 20 total store orders (Source: Cartly Slide Cart Drawer listing).
  • The upsell is often not on the free plan. Qikify keeps cart upsell and the reward bar on Premium, and Amp keeps upsells and progress bars on its paid Growth plan (Source: Amp Slide Cart pricing docs).
  • Shopify Plus prices can jump hard. Qikify Premium is $14.99 per month on standard plans and $99 per month on its Shopify Plus plan, checked 6 November 2026 (Source: Qikify Slide Cart Drawer listing).
  • A good drawer protects AOV and sell through at the same time. A clear free shipping goal, one relevant add on, and a fast checkout button help shoppers finish the basket they already wanted, instead of pushing extras that come back as returns.

How we choose

How we choose

We reviewed vendor pricing pages, vendor docs, and Shopify App Store listings written by the vendors, and we compared only apps that replace or upgrade the Shopify cart with a slide out drawer. We checked in cart upsells, cross sells, free shipping and reward progress bars, add on toggles, sticky cart buttons, discount code fields, order caps, Shopify plan limits, and the fine print on Shopify Plus prices. We compared those facts against the jobs small stores actually run, such as nudging a basket over a free shipping threshold, adding gift wrap at the last step, and keeping checkout one tap away on a phone. We did not use review sites or competitor listicles, we made no testing claim of any kind, and we gave no numeric product scores. Where a vendor does not publish a price for a store type, we say so in plain words rather than guessing. Two names from our first shortlist did not make the cut because we could not verify a live listing and current price from the vendor or the App Store when we checked, so we replaced them with apps we could verify in full.

Pick this shortlist if your bottleneck is a weak cart page, not traffic. If shoppers add one item and drift off, or your AOV sits just under your free shipping threshold, a good drawer should lift AOV while holding return rate steady, because the extras are chosen in the cart, in context, rather than forced at checkout.

See The six apps we compared pricing

1. Qikify Slide Cart Drawer

Best for: Most small stores that want a clean drawer now and one flat paid step later.

We reviewed Qikify first because its free plan covers the basics a small store needs on day one. The vendor listing describes a slide cart drawer with cart upsells, a free shipping bar, and a sticky add to cart button, and says the drawer syncs with your theme and replaces the default side cart (Source: Qikify Slide Cart Drawer listing). The free plan includes basic slide cart features, sticky add to cart, an announcement bar, a floating sticky cart button, order notes, and gift wrapping, while Premium at $14.99 per month adds cart upsell, a reward bar, an estimate shipping bar, and edit variants in cart, checked 6 November 2026 (Source: Qikify Slide Cart Drawer listing).

Pros

  • Free plan includes gift wrapping and order notes, so a gift led store can improve the cart before paying anything.
  • One flat Premium price at $14.99 per month for standard plans, with no order band to cross as you grow from 50 to 500 orders.
  • Edit variants in cart on Premium helps shoppers fix a size or color pick inside the drawer, which can cut abandoned carts and wrong variant returns.

Cons

  • Cart upsell, the reward bar, and edit variants in cart are Premium features, not free features, per the listing pricing table, so the free plan cannot run the AOV offers most stores install it for (Source: Qikify Slide Cart Drawer listing).
  • The Shopify Plus plan is $99 per month, more than six times the standard Premium price, checked 6 November 2026 (Source: Qikify Slide Cart Drawer listing).
  • Premium annual billing is $143.90 per year for a 20 percent saving, so the cheaper yearly route asks for a full year of commitment up front (Source: Qikify Slide Cart Drawer listing).

Pricing: Free plan available. Premium $14.99/month, Shopify Plus $99/month, checked 6 November 2026. Pricing page: https://apps.shopify.com/sticky-cart-by-qikify

Skip it if: You are on Shopify Plus and the $99 per month Plus price wipes out the flat price case, or you need advanced A/B testing of cart offers as your main tool.

Unique detail: The listing says the drawer syncs with your theme and replaces the default side cart when you turn it on, and its Premium tier adds an estimate shipping bar inside the drawer, a detail many rivals leave to the checkout step (Source: Qikify Slide Cart Drawer listing).

Fits: Small to growing stores, from first orders up to several hundred orders a month on standard Shopify plans, where one flat app fee is easier to budget than an order band.

Pick this if you want the calmest bill in this list. One paid step, no order counting, and the upsell tools switch on as soon as you are ready to pay for them.

2. iCart Cart Drawer Cart Upsell

Best for: Very small stores that want the full feature set during their first 100 orders, before any app fee starts.

We compared iCart because its own pricing page leads with a generous start. The vendor says the first 100 orders are free for lifetime, with a fully customizable sticky cart, cart popup and full cart, a multi tier progress bar for free shipping, AI cart upsells and product recommendations, announcements with an urgency timer, product bundles, and volume discounts (Source: iCart pricing and features). Paid pricing on the same vendor page is $9 per month for 0 to 100 orders and $19 per month for 101 to 200 orders, and its App Store pricing adds a $29 per month tier for 201 to 500 orders, checked 6 November 2026 (Source: iCart Cart Drawer Cart Upsell listing).

Pros

  • All listed features are included from the free start, including bundles, volume discounts, and the multi tier free shipping progress bar (Source: iCart pricing and features).
  • Offers can show in the slide cart drawer, the cart popup, and the full cart page, so one offer set covers three cart surfaces (Source: iCart pricing and features).
  • The vendor analytics view compares store and iCart orders, AOV, and revenue side by side, which helps you judge whether cart offers earn their fee (Source: iCart pricing and features).

Cons

  • The free period is a lifetime allowance, not a monthly one. Once your first 100 orders are used, paid pricing applies based on order volume, per the vendor FAQ (Source: iCart pricing and features).
  • Price rises with volume even though the feature set stays the same, from $9 per month at 0 to 100 orders to $29 per month at 201 to 500 orders, checked 6 November 2026 (Source: iCart Cart Drawer Cart Upsell listing).
  • The vendor FAQ is open that store speed after setup can vary by theme, installed apps, and configuration, and advises checking speed after setup, so budget time for that check (Source: iCart pricing and features).

Pricing: Free for first 100 orders for lifetime. Then $9/month for 0 to 100 orders, $19/month for 101 to 200 orders, $29/month for 201 to 500 orders, checked 6 November 2026. Pricing page: https://icartupsell.com and https://apps.shopify.com/icart

Skip it if: Your store already does well over 500 orders a month and you cannot verify the price above that band from the vendor before you install.

Unique detail: iCart supports three cart layouts from one app, a slide cart drawer, a cart popup, and a full cart, and lets the same upsell offers run across all three, per its vendor FAQ (Source: iCart pricing and features).

Fits: New and small stores from zero to about 500 orders a month, especially stores still proving which cart offers move AOV before they commit to a flat monthly fee.

Pick this if you want to learn what your shoppers actually add in the cart while the first 100 orders cost you nothing in app fees.

3. Cartly Slide Cart Drawer

Best for: Stores that want express checkout buttons, a discount code field, and product add ons inside one drawer.

We checked Cartly because its listing puts checkout speed at the center. The vendor says Cartly replaces your default cart with a fast side cart, shows upsells in the cart, adds a sticky add to cart bar, and applies on cart discounts plus flexible checkout options right in the drawer (Source: Cartly Slide Cart Drawer listing). Its pricing lists a free tier for 0 to 20 total orders with all features included, then $16.99 per month for up to 100 monthly store orders, $24.99 per month for up to 300 orders, and $49.99 per month for up to 750 orders, each paid plan with a 14 day free trial, checked 6 November 2026 (Source: Cartly Slide Cart Drawer listing).

Pros

  • Paid plans include cart upsells, a free shipping progress bar, product add ons, express checkout buttons, a discount code field, countdown and announcements, and order notes (Source: Cartly Slide Cart Drawer listing).
  • Express checkout inside the drawer shortens the path for repeat buyers who already know what they want, which protects conversion on mobile.
  • A 14 day free trial on paid plans is the longest trial window in this list, giving you two full weekends of real shopper behavior to judge.

Cons

  • The free tier stops at 20 total store orders, not 20 orders a month, so most live stores will leave the free tier in their first week (Source: Cartly Slide Cart Drawer listing).
  • The jump from the 101 to 300 order tier to the 301 to 750 order tier doubles the fee from $24.99 to $49.99 per month, checked 6 November 2026 (Source: Cartly Slide Cart Drawer listing).
  • All plans are free for development stores, which is helpful for a build, but it means the free offer you see first is not the offer a live store keeps (Source: Cartly Slide Cart Drawer listing).

Pricing: Free plan for 0 to 20 total orders. Then $16.99/month for up to 100 orders, $24.99/month for up to 300 orders, $49.99/month for up to 750 orders, checked 6 November 2026. Pricing page: https://apps.shopify.com/cartly-cart-drawer-upsell

Skip it if: You want a free plan you can stay on while you grow, or your order volume sits just over a tier edge where the next band doubles your fee.

Unique detail: The listing shows estimated delivery date as a cart feature, alongside the countdown and announcement tools, so the drawer can answer the when will it arrive question before checkout (Source: Cartly Slide Cart Drawer listing).

Fits: Small stores doing up to about 300 orders a month that sell add on friendly products, where express checkout and a discount field inside the drawer can lift completed orders.

Pick this if checkout speed is your leak. If shoppers reach the cart and stall, express buttons and a clear delivery estimate can do more than another upsell carousel.

4. Kaching Cart Drawer Upsell

Best for: Stores that make easy margin from toggle style add ons such as gift wrap and shipping protection.

We reviewed Kaching because its listing leads with a very practical add on pattern. The vendor says the drawer can upsell products through sliders or toggles such as gift wrapping and shipping protection, add an urgency timer, free shipping and free gift bars, and payment icons, with no coding required (Source: Kaching Cart Drawer listing). Its App Store pricing lists a free plan for development stores, then $9.99 per month for 99 orders a month, $14.99 per month for 199 orders a month, and $24.99 per month for 499 orders a month, with a 14 day free trial, checked 6 November 2026 (Source: Kaching Cart Drawer listing).

Pros

  • The cheapest paid entry in this list at $9.99 per month, which keeps fees low while you prove whether cart add ons sell (Source: Kaching Cart Drawer listing).
  • Toggle style add ons for gift wrap and shipping protection are simple yes or no picks, so they add AOV without adding decision fatigue or return risk.
  • The drawer can be translated to any language per the vendor listing, which helps stores selling across markets from one storefront (Source: Kaching Cart Drawer listing).

Cons

  • There is no free plan for a live store. Free is for development stores only, so a trading store starts at $9.99 per month after the trial (Source: Kaching Cart Drawer listing).
  • The entry tier caps at 99 orders a month, so a store doing 120 orders pays the $14.99 tier even if cart revenue is still small (Source: Kaching Cart Drawer listing).
  • The listing language list is English, German, Italian, French, Dutch, Swedish, and Spanish, so stores that need other storefront languages should confirm coverage before building around it (Source: Kaching Cart Drawer listing).

Pricing: Free for development stores only. Then $9.99/month for 99 orders a month, $14.99/month for 199 orders a month, $24.99/month for 499 orders a month, checked 6 November 2026. Pricing page: https://apps.shopify.com/cart-upsell

Skip it if: You need a live free plan, or your store does well over 499 orders a month and the vendor has not confirmed your next tier price in writing.

Unique detail: Kaching presents add ons as toggles inside the drawer rather than as extra product cards, and pairs them with payment icons in the same slide cart to build trust at the moment of the extra spend (Source: Kaching Cart Drawer listing).

Fits: Small stores up to about 499 orders a month with giftable or protectable products, where a $2 to $5 toggle add on on a share of orders can cover the app fee many times over.

Pick this if your extra margin is hiding in small add ons. Gift wrap and protection toggles are the lowest friction AOV win in this whole list.

5. AOV.ai Cart Drawer Cart Upsell

Best for: Stores that want a rewards bar with more than one goal and a price that follows their Shopify plan.

We compared AOV.ai because its pricing model is unlike the rest. Its listing lists a Forever free plan that includes 30 monthly orders by app and a single goal rewards bar, then Basic at $15.99 per month for Shopify Basic stores only, Professional at $25.99 per month for Shopify Grow plan stores only, and Advanced at $35.99 per month for Shopify Advanced stores only, with a 7 day free trial, checked 6 November 2026 (Source: AOV.ai Cart Drawer listing). Paid plans add a multi goal rewards bar and shipping protection and gift wrap style add ons per the same listing (Source: AOV.ai Cart Drawer listing).

Pros

  • A multi goal rewards bar on paid plans lets you stack a free shipping goal and a free gift goal in one bar, which gives growing baskets two reasons to keep adding.
  • Annual billing on Basic is $153.50 per year, a 20 percent saving on the monthly price, if you are confident you will stay (Source: AOV.ai Cart Drawer listing).
  • The vendor positions the drawer around real time updates as shoppers add or remove items, which keeps the rewards message honest at every step (Source: AOV.ai Cart Drawer listing).

Cons

  • Your Shopify plan decides your app plan. Basic is for Shopify Basic stores only and Professional is for Shopify Grow stores only, so upgrading Shopify raises your cart app price even if your orders do not change (Source: AOV.ai Cart Drawer listing).
  • Inside the Advanced tier, the price for a Shopify Plus store is $55.99 per month, a fine print step up from the $35.99 headline, checked 6 November 2026 (Source: AOV.ai Cart Drawer listing).
  • The free plan includes only 30 monthly orders by app and a single goal rewards bar, so the free version is a trial in all but name for a trading store (Source: AOV.ai Cart Drawer listing).

Pricing: Free plan with 30 monthly orders by app. Basic $15.99/month, Professional $25.99/month, Advanced $35.99/month, $55.99/month for Shopify Plus, checked 6 November 2026. Pricing page: https://apps.shopify.com/aov-cart-drawer

Skip it if: You plan to move up a Shopify plan tier soon and do not want your cart app bill to rise with it, or you need more than one rewards goal while staying free.

Unique detail: The free plan counts orders by app rather than total store orders, a counting method the vendor states in the plan name itself, so read that definition closely against how many of your orders the drawer actually touches (Source: AOV.ai Cart Drawer listing).

Fits: Small stores on Shopify Basic or Grow doing steady volume, roughly up to a few hundred orders a month, that want stacked rewards goals without paying for a full upsell suite.

Pick this if a two goal rewards bar fits how your shoppers build a basket, and you are settled on your current Shopify plan for a while.

6. Amp Slide Cart Drawer Upsell

Best for: Stores that want a flat monthly bill that never moves, even in a peak month.

We checked Amp Slide Cart closely because its docs make the clearest pricing promise in this category. The vendor docs say Slide Cart has a free plan and two paid plans, and that your price does not change with your order volume, your revenue, or how many times the cart drawer opens (Source: Amp Slide Cart pricing docs). The same docs list Free as free forever, Growth at $29.99 per month with AI and manual upsells, a progress bar, and a shipping protection upsell, and Pro at $49.99 per month adding agency grade cart designs and a free gift rewards bar, with a 7 day free trial on paid plans (Source: Amp Slide Cart pricing docs). Its own pricing page uses the name Starter for the first paid plan at the same $29.99 per month price (Source: Amp Slide Cart pricing).

Pros

  • Flat pricing with no setup fees, hidden costs, or per transaction fees, per the vendor docs, so a record month never inflates this line of your fees (Source: Amp Slide Cart pricing docs).
  • The free plan is free forever with no time limit and no credit card required, and it already includes a branded drawer, announcements with an urgency timer, trust badges, a discount code box, and accelerated checkout buttons (Source: Amp Slide Cart pricing docs).
  • Growth adds SKU level daily insights for AOV lift, so you can see which products earn their place in the drawer (Source: Amp Slide Cart pricing docs).

Cons

  • The AOV tools sit on paid plans. Upsells and the progress bar start on Growth at $29.99 per month, so the generous free plan is a branded drawer, not an upsell engine (Source: Amp Slide Cart pricing docs).
  • Free gifts and the rewards bar are Pro features at $49.99 per month, the joint highest top price in this list (Source: Amp Slide Cart pricing docs).
  • Plan naming is not consistent across vendor pages. The docs call the first paid plan Growth while the vendor pricing page calls it Starter at the same price, so confirm the plan name inside the app before you buy (Source: Amp Slide Cart pricing).

Pricing: Free plan forever. Growth $29.99/month, Pro $49.99/month, checked 6 November 2026. Pricing page: https://slide-cart.com/pricing and http://slide-cart.helpscoutdocs.com/article/114-pricing

Skip it if: You need cart upsells on a free plan, or $29.99 per month is more than your current cart revenue can justify before you have offers that convert.

Unique detail: The docs state that merchants on an older Amp pricing plan keep that plan, price, and feature set untouched, and that moving to current pricing is optional and handled by the vendor team on request (Source: Amp Slide Cart pricing docs).

Fits: Small to mid size stores with spiky or seasonal volume, from a few dozen to well over 1,000 orders in a peak month, where a flat fee beats a band that punishes your best month.

Pick this if your sales are seasonal. Pay the same in your biggest month as in your quietest, and let the upsell revenue, not the fee, be the thing that moves.

Questions buyers ask first

Should a small store pay for a cart drawer, or start free?

Start free when the free plan includes the one feature you will actually use, such as a branded drawer, a sticky cart, or a simple progress bar. Move to paid the moment the revenue feature you need, usually cart upsells or a rewards bar, sits on the paid tier and your basket data says shoppers will use it.

How much should a free shipping bar threshold be set at?

Set it a little above your current average basket, close enough that one extra item reaches it, and check that the goal matches the free shipping rate you have set in Shopify. A threshold shoppers can reach with one add on lifts AOV, while a threshold that needs three extra items mostly gets ignored.

Will a cart drawer app slow down a small store?

It can, which is why the honest vendor advice in this category is to check store speed after setup and judge the drawer on your own theme with your own apps installed. Remove any old cart app fully before you judge a new one, since two drawers fighting over the same cart is the most common cause of a messy result.

What is the difference between orders by app and total store orders?

Total store orders counts every order your store takes, while orders by app counts only the orders the vendor defines as touched by the app, and those two numbers can be far apart. Read the counting method in the plan name and pricing fine print before you compare two apps on price alone, because a cheaper tier with a tighter count can cost more in practice.

Buyers guide

  • Count your last three full months of orders first. Your real monthly volume decides your tier on four of the six apps here, and a peak month can cost more than an average month.
  • Check whether upsells are on the free plan or the first paid plan. On Qikify and Amp, the free drawer is not the upsell tool, and that gap is where most surprise upgrades come from.
  • Set your free shipping threshold in Shopify before you set it in the app. The bar and the shipping rate must match, or shoppers will reach the goal and still see a shipping fee at checkout.
  • Check the Shopify Plus price if there is any chance you will move to Plus. Qikify jumps to $99 per month and AOV.ai steps to $55.99 per month on Plus, checked 6 November 2026.
  • Test the drawer on a phone with your best selling product. Add it, change a variant, apply a discount code, and complete a test order, because most small store carts are judged on mobile first.
  • Remove or disable your old cart app before you install a new one. Two drawers on one store cause double popups, broken quantity controls, and support tickets that neither vendor can fix alone.
  • Browse the other hubs on this site only where they help the same store, such as inventory and order management and marketplace seller tools, so your cart choice fits the rest of your stack.

Frequently asked questions

How many apps are in this comparison?

We compared exactly six apps in this article, and each one provides a slide cart drawer for Shopify. The six are Qikify Slide Cart Drawer, iCart, Cartly, Kaching Cart Drawer, AOV.ai Cart Drawer, and Amp Slide Cart.

Can a cart drawer app raise AOV without hurting return rate?

Yes, when the offers are relevant add ons chosen inside the cart, such as gift wrap, a matching accessory, or one item that completes a set. Keep offers to one or two relevant picks, watch return rate by product after launch, and remove any offer that shoppers keep sending back.

What does orders by app mean in app pricing?

It means the vendor counts only the orders it defines as going through or being touched by the app, rather than every order on your store. AOV.ai states this counting method in its free plan, so check each vendor definition before you assume two tiers with the same order number cost the same.

Do I need a free shipping bar and a rewards bar?

Not both on day one. A free shipping bar is the simpler first step when shipping cost is your main checkout objection, while a rewards bar with a gift goal earns its place once shoppers already add extra items and you want to stretch sell through a little further.

What should I test in the free trial window?

Build your real cart flow with your best selling product, your real free shipping threshold, and one real upsell offer, then place a test order on a phone. Check the drawer total, the checkout total, the discount code behavior, and how the order reads in your admin before the trial ends.
