Editorial Policy

Updated

By Picklynx Editorial Team

Our job is simple: help merchants pick the right tool at the right price. This page sets out how we keep picks independent, current, and honest about how they were made.

Independence first

  • Editorial order is ours. Vendors do not approve copy, change a rank, or remove a con.
  • No paid editorial ranks. A vendor cannot pay to move up a list, get a better verdict, or drop a rival.
  • Sponsored placements exist, and they are labelled "Sponsored". A label means placement, not praise.
  • If we would not shortlist a tool for a store at your volume, we do not list it as a pick.

Pick this if: you want a list where the order follows fit and price, not a media kit.

How picks are made

  • We start with vendor docs, pricing pages, changelogs, public reviews, and published benchmarks.
  • We compare the same facts for each tool: starting price, plan limits, free plan or trial, key feature, and a real con.
  • We score with the criteria and weights on our scoring page, by category.
  • We say "we reviewed" or "we compared" for researched pages. We do not claim our own product tests for them, because that would not be true.

Pick this if: you want to see the evidence behind a pick, not a mystery score.

Keeping pages current

  • Money pages are re-checked every 45 days. Money pages are listicles and comparisons where price decides the pick.
  • On each re-check, we revisit the vendor pricing page, confirm plan limits, and update the last verified date.
  • If a price changed, we change the table and the product section together.

Pick this if: you have been burned by an old price on a comparison site before.

Corrections

Spot an error? Tell us via our contact page with the page link, the line, and a source. We check the source, fix the page if you are right, and update the modified date. Material corrections are noted on the page. We do not quietly swap a pick without updating the reasoning.

Pick this if: you value a fast fix over a defensive reply.

AI assistance, stated plainly

AI helps draft our pages. Editors check every fact and price against the source before publish. AI does not invent sources, quotes, people, or results for us, and any draft claim without a source is cut. The byline is Picklynx Editorial Team, and that team takes responsibility for what goes live.

Pick this if: you want the process stated clearly, with human checks on facts and prices.
